Clouded Leopard Entertainment announced that they will release Ys X: Proud Nordics for the Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (via Steam) on Thursday, August 21, 2025. It will have asian localization support with providing Japanese audio, and Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitles.
This upgraded edition will feature a brand-new storyline, new adventure settings, and additional content. The owners of the Steam version of Ys X: Nordics will have a limited-time Special Price Pack for Ys X: Nordics that will be available on Steam at a discounted price until August 31.

There will be a Package version of the game in terms of Ys X: Proud Nordics Additional Music Collection, which includes all the newly added tracks in the game, including music from the new field areas, dungeons, events, and more! This bonus is a physical CD with original packaging, and only available exclusively with the Nintendo Switch 2 package version of the game, and the CD will not be available for individual sale.
In Ys X: Proud Nordics, players will explore the new Öland Island, located in the northern reaches of Obelia Bay, with multiple new encounters, including the introduction of two new characters, Canute Gamley and Astrid Zayren, where they can learn the secrets of this island.

Players can use a new mana action, “Mana Hold”, to lift and launch certain objects in a targeted location, which is useful in combat and exploration. Enhancements for Mana Action are added, and Mana Ride Challenges are available for players to test their skills by defeating rivals and getting rewarded, and also face tough opponents in the Bergen Arena.

Players can also challenge Muspelheim, a high-difficulty dungeon with various obstacles and powerful enemies to offer players the ultimate challenge. During naval exploration, players can encounter a Naval Battle when sailing into a Golden Symbol, where a victory unlocks a new Ocean Wind.
